How Intellect Council practice tests work: what is in the free sample, how scoring and timing work, refunds, devices and how our tests relate to real employer tests.
Are these the real test questions?+
No. Every question is written by our team in the style and format of common employer tests. We never use real, leaked or copied test questions, and we are not affiliated with any test publisher. Practicing the format and timing is what helps most.
Do I need an account for the free sample?+
No. Every practice test has a free 10-question sample you can start straight away. You see your score, the time you took and an explanation for every question at the end.
How long does a practice test take?+
The free sample takes 2 to 15 minutes depending on the test, and runs at the same pace per question as the full mock. Full mocks follow the commonly reported length of each real test, from about 12 minutes for Wonderlic-style tests to around 30 minutes for longer reasoning tests.
Can I use a calculator?+
Use one when the real test allows it. Most numerical reasoning and SHL-style tests allow a calculator; fast cognitive tests such as Wonderlic-style, CCAT-style and Predictive Index-style tests usually do not. Each test page says which applies, so you can practice the same way.
Can I practice on my phone?+
Yes. Every test works on a phone, tablet or laptop. We recommend a laptop for the Excel test and for any test you will take on a computer, so the practice feels the same as the real thing.
What do I get with a paid plan?+
Full-length timed mocks for every practice test, an explanation for every answer, your score history and the question types where you lose the most points. The 30-Day Pass gives 30 days of access for a one-time payment. The Monthly plan renews each month until you cancel.
Which plan should I choose?+
If your test is in the next few weeks, the 30-Day Pass is the simplest choice: one payment and no renewal. If you are applying for jobs over several months and expect more than one test, the Monthly plan keeps every test open while it is active.
Can I get a refund?+
Yes. If you are not happy, ask for a refund within 7 days of buying, as long as you have completed no more than one full mock. Our refund policy has the details.
How do I cancel the Monthly plan?+
Cancel in one click from the billing page in your account. You keep access until the end of the month you have paid for, and you are not charged again.
Will practicing improve my score?+
Practice helps you learn the question types, find a pace that works and stay calm on the day, which is where many people lose points. We cannot promise a result on a real test, and nobody honest can.
Is my score the same as a real test score?+
No. Your result is a practice score: how many questions you answered correctly in our mock. It is not a score or percentile from any real test. Once enough people have taken a mock, we show how you compare with other Intellect Council users and say how many people that is.
Who is Intellect Council for?+
Adults applying for jobs who have been sent, or expect, an aptitude, reasoning, psychometric or skills test. The site is for people aged 18 and over.
